Today March 31, 2010

First, I want to apologize. My site has been down for some reason and I've not been able to put any comments on any of your blogs for two days. I assure you, I've read them all.

They say that March comes in like a Lion and goes out like a Lamb. Well, SOMEBODY forgot to tell SOMEBODY. You can see that there's no lambs in my front yard and there are still no flowers on the Dogwood, but there are buds on the tree. The end is near. The weather guessers said it might get dusted at 3500' (we're at 3215'). Wrong again. Yes, the yard stick is at 5 1/2 inches. Good thing Bob (I plow for fish) is around.

Nothing about fishing and everything about shoveling and plowing. OH, one more thing, yesterday they had wind gusts, on the top of the pass, of 120 mph. Enough to blow you right off your feet. Kind of like a Cyclone, eh Callen.

Till the next adventure.

Mark (Shoreman)

  1. Sorry to hear about your snow. Hope you thaw out soon!

  2. WOW!
Ok, thats sorta depressing. In fact, I'm going to ignore the fact I just looked at your snow, and the fact it just snowed here the other morning and pretend the world is all green and full of spring flowers.
    Thats my plan =)
    Hoping you thaw out quickly!

  3. Geez, I wish winter would give up it's hold on you and me too! We had snow today. but, not as much as you are getting.

I am having some trouble with my blog host also. Stay tuned. I will keep you informed.

  4. Jeez, that's the kind of weather that drove me to the tropics. I can handle the wind it is just the cold that kills me. I hope you warm up soon. In the mean time you better tie yourself to a pine tree so you don't get blown away.

  5. I was complaining not too long ago about the snow. And now - only about a month later - it's 85 damn degrees out. What the Hell?

But still - I hope you can find whatever it takes to enjoy it! There must be someone putting in a request for it! You?

  6. The thaw will come. Don't give up hope. You will be fishing in the warm sunshine soon enough.

We are getting all that precipitation in the form of rain here in Albany, Oregon. The wind is blowing pretty good too. It's a "stay-inside" weekend for us!

I'm glad I don't have to plow snow, and you don't either!

    Tight Lines!

  7. Happy Easter Mark - hope you're thawing out!!
