I don't know if any one else is having the same problem I'm having, but I'm just about ready to trash both Blogger and Google.
I've put several comments on blogs that are on my blogroll, and when I press "Post Comment" they just disappear. This is not something new, it's been happening for some time now. I've logged out and re-logged in and sometimes they work and sometimes they don't.
So don't dispair. I am reading your posts and I'd love to make some comments, but this crappy system sucks and just won't let me. It's really frustrating to write a 5 or 6 paragraph comment and have it just disappear.
I'm out there, I'm reading your posts, and I'm trying to let you know I do, but if you don't see anything, the next time you see Blogger or Google, shoot it.
Thanks,
Mark
Sometimes I just give up with Blogger. Last night I tried posting a post like 5 different times and it was driving me nuts. All the Blogger issues and then add Dial Up connection to the mix and it makes a crazy man crazier :) Tight Lines.
ReplyDeleteI think I know the "fix". Waiting for someone to confirm, will let you know...
ReplyDeleteI am also having trouble with my comments on my own blog. I have to hit submit several times before it actually works and posts my comments which are usually responses to someone else's comments. It is very frustrating. In addition, some of my comments on other blogs are missing, too! Had me wondering if the blog owner just didn't like my comment or something so it was deleted or "not approved".
ReplyDeleteThanks, glad I'm not alone. I put a comment yesterday and thought I'd be smart and highlight and copy. I pasted it three times and still disappeared. Just now, I wrote this up and hit the "Post Comment" and it disappeared.

I think I had this issue a while back or at least something similar. The fix for me was to set my browser to allow 3rd party cookies. It had to do with google's tracking. I think. I'm no expert
ReplyDeleteWell Mark, take a little solace in the fact that others have problems with Blogger too. Being computer illiterate myself I tend to write it off to my own ineptitude. My daughter and her partner are planning on changing to Word Press but I will tough it out with Blogger for now since I fear having to learn a new system.
ReplyDeleteI gave up on Blogger a long time ago. Too many quirks.
ReplyDeleteKnowing that this can be an issue, copy your comment right before you post, that way if it fails, you can just re-paste it somewhere else, and you don't lose all your data.
ReplyDeleteAlso, what browser are you using? I know a lot of times that certain things can work in one browser, and not another. Perhaps try firefox or chrome, internet explorer can have some issues for me sometimes.
This will get up again in the real inauspicious change psychoanalysis:
ReplyDeleteBasically, the parties are by the sentence I decided to get it for my buddy.
