I've followed Alan's blog for many years and I'm sure a lot of you have.

He will be missed.

  1. Yes, that was very sad news. He has been a fellow blogging buddy the whole 12 years or so thar I've been writing. A good man. A talented writer.

  2. A real punch to the gut when it comes to reading that news. Alan was a fantastic writer and a great guy to talk fishing and food with. The kind of guy that was friends to all and enemies to none.

I can't believe he's gone. He and I shared a lot of blog posts and emails over the years. I just found this out this afternoon. There are only a few of us old-timers left now that he is gone.
