If you're not a follower of Small Stream Reflections, please go to the link and leave a comment on the loss of a very good friend. Alan passed away early yesterday morning. If you are a follower, then get over there.
I've followed Alan's blog for many years and I'm sure a lot of you have.
He will be missed.
Yes, that was very sad news. He has been a fellow blogging buddy the whole 12 years or so thar I've been writing. A good man. A talented writer.
ReplyDeleteA real punch to the gut when it comes to reading that news. Alan was a fantastic writer and a great guy to talk fishing and food with. The kind of guy that was friends to all and enemies to none.
ReplyDeleteA very sad time indeed, I will miss his crafted words and stunning pictures that he so happily shared.

ReplyDeleteI can't believe he's gone. He and I shared a lot of blog posts and emails over the years. I just found this out this afternoon. There are only a few of us old-timers left now that he is gone.
Was surprised and shocked to hear that sad news , I had corresponded with him a few times and despite the 100s of miles felt we had much in common.
ReplyDeleteI echo the words of all the guys who give their opinion here, and the death of our dear friend Alan really took me by surprise, I really feel saddened by it but he will always be remembered and kept in my memory as a master in the hobby of fishing and fly tying...a hug Mark ..and all the guys....
